Environment Activists Protest

What does it mean to Advocate?

An advocate for someone or something either speaks out on behalf of it, becomes visible to bring solutions for it, or develops plans to put to action to bring eradication of the issue that opposes it.

Black and Brown

There is a narrative promoted about ethnic individuals. The narrative is portrayed in business, the judicial system and media. It is set to target how society views Blacks and Latinx people. We must put in the work together to change the narrative regarding the Black and Brown community. We are better together. #ChangingtheNarrative

Disruptors are a community of Students, Educators, Ministers and Resident Leaders who actively work to disrupt the norm of invisible barriers and spiritual structures in community settings that operate to hold residents in a non-productive cycle of life in Indy. We are a marketplace ministry peer group sent to address arrested development issues to produce better outcomes in the lives of people in Indy.

Black Culture

______________________________________

From a cultural standpoint we support the need for cohesiveness within the Black Community. We also advocate to remove the stigma off of seeking mental and emotional health for Black males. With intentionally we outreach to share important reasons to seek medical help if needed, even if that means connecting them with Medical Doctors of color and Networks of MDs that look like them.

We offer supports and culturally affirming resources that helps to address cultural trauma of Blacks. This builds a healthy community that can establish urbanity and trust as black normalcy, promoting positive self-image, and good citizenship as a result.
